Vision

The Department of Punjabi, University of Delhi is an internationally recognized center of excellence of thoughts. The Department has always been inclined to undertake new developments in the field of language, literature, culture, media, diasporic studies, translation, multiculturalism, globalization and explore new dimensions in changing era to meet the current challenges. The Department is eagerly looking forward to start new courses in the areas of translation studies, media studies and computational linguistics

Mission

The faculty of the Department of Punjabi is working whole heartedly to build a bright future for the students and research scholars in terms of developing their reading, writing and speaking skills. We also provide financial assistance to needy meritorious students through various organizations. We actively respond to learning needs of students especially those who are physically challenged. All the Faculty members are fully devoted towards humanism and committed to a fruitful teaching, learning process
